	Momma's in the House July 26, 2010 What is your Dining Room Inspiration? Flash forward to today and things are very different. I have two children and everything has to be simple, clean, and child friendly. What was my inspiration this time around? My daughters Svan High Chair. Its very modern-sleek and almost something that you would see in an Eames inspired room (very mid-century modern).My daughter's Svan highchair and our dining inspiration. Once I knew what sort of style scheme I was going for, I looked to find examples of the dining room I was envisioning. The whole process took about 2 weeks from start to finish. During that period, I had to match wood tones, test out chairs for comfortability, and made sure I wasnt sacrificing taste in order to stay on a budget. So how did it turn out? 	The road of life June 8, 2010 High Chair I'd seen various at our local babies r us but I'm still under the impression that I don't want my house over run by plastic and bright colorful things....aka kid's stuff. I'm hanging in as long as I can. My search was pretty limited...and it came down to two..the Stokke Tripp Trapp or the Svan High Chair. You buy it as a high chair but you can remove the tray to seat your child at the table. Later, you can also remove the safety guard so that your child can step up onto the chair with the foot rest. By the time, your child is 8 or 10 years of age, you can even do away with the foot rest altogether and it becomes just like an adult chair. 	Christie Franke May 21, 2010 Svan Youth Chair in Mahogany We are so thrilled with this chair!!! With our 2 older children, we struggled with our high chair, as they were too big for a 6 month old (so we had to feed them from their infant seat), and when the chair was able to be used, the clean up was quite dreadful. We constantly had to take the cushion off to clean it since food would get trapped in the nooks of the seat&and if the cushion was in the wash you could not use the high chair. With the SVAN our child sits straight up and is supported on all sides, and if the cushion is in the wash, we can still use the chair&however since the chair is such a perfect fit, we have noticed most of the mess stays on the tray not in the seat! 	Toy Queen May 16, 2010 SVAN High Chair: ToyQueens Favorite High Chair Secondly, what the SVAN High Chair has, that I have NOT seen in similar chairs, which is the reason why this is now my high chair of choice, is the amount of support that is provided by the safety guard and tray to an infants midsection. Young children can get tired when eating over the course of a 20 minute mealtime so the more their body is supported, the more energy and attention they can channel into safely managing and chewing the food inside their mouth. 	Simply for Giggles May 12, 2010 Svan High Chair... Lifesaver! And these chairs have maximum function, scaling in two dimensions as our oldest son (4 years old) has grown and serving as crucial equipment when my youngest (2) was in a spica cast for many weeks. 	A Latte in the Morning January 13, 2010 Svan Youth Chair: Review When the box arrived I thought there were parts missing as I expected the box to be way bigger but all parts were in there and were super easy to assemble. I couldn't wait till my husband was home so I did it myself. I love the sleek design and the color of this chair!
